However this is not the sum of my beliefs. As many people have asked me what type or brand of witchcraft and what path I follow. Well this will hopefully explain some of what I believe in to them and hopefully educate some of the sceptics who persist on putting us down and saying we are evil. In the that case I usually reply 'What is Evil?' which end up in me getting a lecture off someone about what they think is evil, and then I reply 'Well that's what you believe!' Some people call me Pagan but to me that is to broad a term, I am a Pagan but to be more specific, I am a witch, who follows his own Religious Beliefs which I will explain later. One other point on the term Pagan, is that this name was given to people who did not follow a Christian religion. This covers everything from Buddhism, to Shamanism. How I started down this path was not due to someone saying this is how it was, like in most Christian religions. I discovered my religion more by accident, than anything I read in a book or was told by some person on TV. This voyage of self discovery made me what I am now. It all started when I was about 12, and I started taking interest in astronomy and the cycles of the planet, this lead me on the Equinoxes, and the Solstices. Which later became the base of my beliefs, as with most earth based religions, my findings were based on observations, rather than someone telling me a far-fetched story and telling me this is true, and you must believe it. As with most earth based religions, observation of events is key to its foundation, almost all chart the passing of Solstices and Equinoxes, and the phases of the moon. The rest of my belief system is based on what I have seen and what has been, I do not stick to one set of predefined values. Or believe that if I do something wrong it is a sin, if this were the case we are all sinners, as at some point in every human beings life they have done something against what they believe. To re-iterate my point what I believe is mine and no one else's, which to me is what religion is all about, it is more a path of self discovery. What is religion, I hear some people cry well even people who say they have no religion and believe in nothing are lying, as everybody believes in something, it may not be a supreme being or force. Dose the Physicist not Believe in the laws of Physics so much that this is not his religion, everybody believes in something beyond there capacity. For even someone who says they do not believe in anything, believes in them self and must at least know that they exist if nothing else, but this is now getting too Freudian, and I will start going on about the Self and the ID, therefore they are there own God. So what do I believe? Well this is a tough one as truly I do not know completely, as I have not discovered it yet, but have only discovered fragments of what I believe in the foundations I mentioned earlier. These foundations which spread back through time to the beginning of religion (Not the orthodox Christian view), a religion long before that. Even before the Egyptians, and the Mayans, long back in time to a lost civilisation, of which we have only legends, and fragments of what might have been. However there are people who search for the same truth as me, one of these people is an Author called Graham Hancock. Graham Hancock however is not on this quest for the same reasons as me he is following the path of truth, he wants to know about that unwritten past, of what really happened, and not what some group of people said happened. This he is doing in his research, into the lost history of the human race, a forgotten past, which seam to have been ignored my modern man because it dose not fit in to the great scheme of things which someone cooked up. This scheme however dose not have a name but has taken a great influence from Christianity, in its orthodox view of time, which is why a lot of things have been left out of the history books, because they did not fit this ideal model, part of which is the view that the world and time began sometime around 4000BCE, which it did not, as some of the evidence Graham Hancock has gathered in his book points to times tens of thousands of years before this date. Most of this evidence has either been ignored, or twisted to fit in to this 4000BCE model. Which is probably why Graham Hancock gets so much hassle while writing his books. Especially the disgraceful way in which the BBC treated him and Robert Bauval in the Horizon documentary, which I admit I did not watch, as I don't trust the BBC as far as I can comfortably sneeze them. This disgrace can only be classified as an attack on Mr Hancock. In my opinion they should remake the Documentary, and put Graham Hancock's views in their correct frame. I and however not saying all Christianity is rubbish, as some of it did happen but over time it has been twisted, like a Chinese whisper, As the first Graham Hancock book I read 'The Sign and the Seal' ISBN 0-7493-0186-4, put forward a very strong case for the Ark of the Covenant to exist, and to its final resting place. This book I recommend to anyone, but it can be a hard read as the book is so big, however I was glued to the book from the first page on. However I digress, so Let me explain some of the history of what I believe, this will go in to some length so if you don't want to read it skip to the last paragraph. Once upon a time there was nothing and it went Bang. Well it's a good Theory, you come up with a better one. So lest skip a bit of time here as well no one really know what happened next, we can only guess. See the Principia Discordia for details. Ok so now we have some dinosaurs wandering about, yep they were big, and for all we know they could have been pink, or blue, and make high-pitched squeaks. Then for some unexplained reason they gave up living, and began pushing up daises, they became Ex-Dinosaurs. Some people say it was a big meteorite which killed them off, well prove it. How do we know they may just have hunted each other to extinction, or become the victim of some strange virus or bacteria. So lets skip some more time here as the next bit is well boring but I know that at some point over this period religion was founded on the observations of People. So we come to some point in the not to distant past about 15,000 years ago, their was an ancient civilisation, I do not wish to speculate how they came to be because I have no clue. This lost civilisation of which we have a name for was Atlantis, yep that place, don't groan this does get better, and is far more interesting than the bible. Because I miss the boring bits. Ok so their was the Lost Civilisation, which at the height of it reign, had a well established earth based religion, and possibly some form of high magic, and almost certainly Ritual magic. This civilisation I know very little about, other than they were very advanced, and knew things about the world and the human race that we have no way of knowing today. This next bit may have happened or may not, some profit foretold of the destruction of the world, this was either meet by disbelief, or complete acceptance, either way not many of this civilisation survived this cataclysm. The ones that did either were believers of the cataclysm, or just quick thinking people who were lucky. The cataclysm as mention was big and probably went something like this. The Polar cap became to heavy, and a conjunction of planets or a passing comet unbalanced them on the axis of the earth. This resulted in the entire earth crust shifting by about 2000 miles, this shit happened over probably a period of tens of years. This moved all the continents large distances, that is why we have found frozen mammoths still chewing food, and explains the findings of tropical vegetation under the south polar Icecaps of Antarctica. This brings me on the location of Atlantis, which I believe is Antarctica, as this is the only place you could Hide a continent and not have its history found. Another point is that old maps from around 1513 show Antarctica, in high detail long before it was mapped by modern-man, so how did they do this, well at some point in the past Antarctica was uncovered for a long time and man was able to map it in some way. Anyway we have now established Antarctica is Atlantis and the foundation of earth based religions, and that this Cataclysm of Earth crust shift destroyed that civilisation, and only a handful of the inhabitants survived. For more information on this subject read 'When the sky Fell' ISBN 0-75280-171-6 by Rand & Rose Flem-Ath. This is a very good read and convinced me that not all modern history is correct, in fact a lot of it is grossly wrong. So the last survivors of the civilisation escaped their doom and the freezing over of their home, Some went to South America, Some went to Asia and Africa, some ended up in Australia, but the bulk ended up being taken by Current up the Red Sea to Egypt. From these locations, the survivors, spread their religion, and Knowledge to the inhabitants of these lands changing it for each race they encountered to make it more acceptable and believable for them. Then from these establish outposts this religious knowledge spread north in to North America, Europe, and Russia, but however in a more diluted form. Yet They all maintained the underlying features of the Earth based religion, which I mentioned earlier. This happened well before Christianity hit the scene, and explains why most legends, and myths all have similarities all round the world. This also includes things like the Ark of Noah (This mirrors the escape from Atlantis), Vampires, Werewolves, the fall of Babylon (This mirrors the fall if Atlantis). How come each separate civilisation around the word all have old religions with the same Fundamental Base, and Myths and Legends. The only explanation that I have discovered through what I have read is the Fall of Atlantis. For more information on the subject of the similarities Read 'Fingerprints of the Gods' ISBN 0-7493-1454-0 by Graham Hancock. So out of all the religions that sprung up the path I prefer to follow is that of the Egyptian, but I do not put down or not believe in the others as thay all follow the same basic belief. However some more history, The Egyptians civilisation, as the Orthodox history tells us started around 4000BCE Cunning that it fits in nicely with the Christian view, well scratch that, its wrong. There culture started probably 15000-10000BCE no one knows for sure. This civilisation built it's self up over the years following the same basic Beliefs and the same structure of the God and Goddess. They created some wonderful art, and some Monumental structures which even today we cannot replicate. Then around the end of the BCE's there culture started to become shaky, probably due to wars and problems from other civilisations around at that time. Then sometime in the early CE's Christianity took hold, and began slowly destroying the knowledge and belief structure of the Egyptians. This happened all over the world right up the when the Spanish sailed to the South Americas and started destroying the culture over there. Also in this ensuing growth of Christianity, many great treasures were lost or destroyed like the Library of Byzantium. For more information on Egypt see 'Keeper of Genesis' ISBN 0-434-00305-0 by Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval. Other event that happened during this period included the cult of Mithras, which nearly became the official religion of England. Another great Christian blunder was the Great Plague of England, this happened because the Christian went round killing all cats they could find, because they believe them to be witches familiars and agents of the devil, this ended up in the death of 70% of the cat population, and the rapid growth of the rat population, therefore spreading the plague further and faster than it was possible to contain. The Christian disbelief in the practices of herbal medicine, because it was passed on by women, which they oppressed. The Release of all Prisoners and the chaos caused at the end of the 999CE, because they believed that Armageddon was coming, and everybody would be judged. The Ignorance of the Earth and its need were created by Christianity, through their destruction of earth basted religions. The over population of the planet due to frowning on Contraception, and the banning of abortions and euthanasia. Plus the fact that a person must be kept alive at all costs, no matter if they have no chance at a decent life afterwards, these are all caused by Christianity. Now I have had my stab at Christianity, they have been responsible for more destruction and unnecessary evil than the history books, and they like to admit. I'm not saying that my Religious belief's have not had their bad points, but My religion is more open minded to the world, other cultures and, other ways of thinking, plus it looks at the consequences of its actions. One last point is Christian based religions are the only ones which fight with each other, and earth based religions tend not to as they are mostly passive. Ireland is one prime example, Southern Ireland, consists mostly of Celtic and earth based religions, and Northern Ireland is Catholic and Protestant, and they are always at each others throats. I can see one major disaster coming our way due to the interference of Christianity, that is all these new plagues like HIV(AIDS), CJD and many others, these can all be wiped out in one or two generations, but Christianity, has stepped in on the practice of genetics, which can solve most diseases and plagues quickly. Because Genetics is playing god in there eyes, where As I believe that Man created the Gods in his own Image, we gave the Gods power, and we can take it away. There for we should never fear our gods, like the Christians do, earth based religions respect their gods, because they will respect us back but we do not fear them. We love our gods because we want to, we don't have to, and not because it is demanded and expected. This concludes my ramblings about my religion, and some of its history, I won't go much further in to detail as those who want to know about earth based religions should read up about it, but most won't. and those who are more likely to read this because they are interested in what I believe, will already know what I on about. A few final things just to, let you know I am not of the Egyptian Religion, I choose the Egyptians gods because they closely follow the path back to Atlantis. I call myself a Witch as that is what I am and I put my religion down as Wiccan as that is most understandable to the layman. Yet I am not a full Wiccan, I am a follower of Earth based Religions, and follow many gods Like Thoth, Isis, Ra, Loki, Thor, Odin, Cernunnos (Hern, Green Man, Pan), Diana, Bast, Cerridwen, Artemis, Eris, Aradia, Lucifer (Not the Christian Devil, but actually a gentle god of shepherd, and light), Kali, and Lillith. However I do not believe in the Devil, or heaven or hell, so don't put me in the class of Satanist, as I am not. A Satanist, is another form of Christianity just with different values and more restrictions. And a Devil worshiper, is not a Satanist, they believe in Demons, and not the devil and god. I however do have respect for other religions, even Christianity. But the religion I have the most respect for next to other earth based religions, is Discordianism. See the Principia Discordia, but that's another story. Now I have finished my rather brief description of what I believe, if you want to know further, contact me or arrange to meet up with me for wine or something, and I will talk further. If you want to mail bomb me, or sent me hate mail you are welcome, as I expect it from some people, however I would never stoop so low. I would just formulate an argument to put forward my point. Two things I uphold above all (you can call the commandment, restrictions or rules.) They are if it harm nought do what you will, and All that you send out will come back to you times three. One last stab, the term Virgin does not mean a woman who has never had sex, but it refers to an unwed woman. So the Virgin Birth is not so miraculous after all.
