Presence



          A vampire with the Presence Discipline is exceptionally attractive and appealing to others. People want to be around the vampire, to bask in the brilliant light he sheds. He need not make any sort of overt or deliberate action, for Presence is a natural aspect of one's personality. Presence is a powerful, if subtle, Discipline.

          The Presence Discipline is a power over the emotions of people, not their judgement or reason. Orders may not be given using Presence; the effect is completely non-verbal.

          Presence causes others to feel things or react in certain ways toward the vampire, but direct manipulation of the mind is the domain of Dominate.

          Unlike Dominate, it can be used on many people at the same time, nor is eye contact required for it to be effective. The vampire needs to be clearly in sight of those he wishes to affect, however, as his face must be seen clearly.

          To use Presence successfully on any character you need to have a higher willpower than the victim. Also you need to be in the presence of the victim unless you are using summon.

Awe

          When you employ this power, everyone near you be, comes intensely attracted to you. They will do nearly anything to be close to you, although their fascination is not so complete that they will endanger themselves. The effects last only as long as the subjects are in your presence, but the next time they see you, the feelings are likely to be reawakened.

          By carefully using this power, you can have phenomenal powers of mass communication. Since Presence uses emotion to sway victims, it doesn't really matter what is said, but you can more easily convince people of a certain course of action or the nobility of a purpose by using this Discipline.

           System:Blood is to be spent as usual. Yet this can be resisted by spending 1 blood.

			entire auditorium)


Dread Gaze

          The exhibition of your full vampiric powers can cause great fear and loathing in mortals. This is usually accomplished by baring teeth and claws while hissing loudly. While most vampires can perform this action, you are exceptionally adept at it, and are capable of driving mortals insane with fear, or frightening them into submission or flight with the merest snarl. The subjects are cowed by your appearance and will do anything to avoid incurring your wrath.

           System:You must spend 1 blood to use this discipline, this does not work against Vampires and other supernatural beings.

Entrancement

          Entrancement is used to convince another to serve you. The subject of Entrancement will be enchanted with you and desire to serve your needs. However, unlike a person Possessed with Dominate powers, the subject of Entrancement retains her freedom of action and creativity. This can be both good and bad.

          The subject is certainly much more enjoyable to be around and tends to remind a vampire of the cruelty of control less often, but such a victim can be unpredictable in how she will attempt to please the Kindred. Because so much freedom of will is maintained, an Entranced person does not count as a new Retainer.

           System:The Vampire must spend enough blood to equal and beat the targets willpower. The character which is entranced by you can be entranced way from your grasp by another vampire. Or should you do anything to harm the character or go against he characters principles to much this will also break the entrancement

Summon

          With this power, you may call a person from a very great distance and that person will come to attend your desires. The subject of the Summons may not know exactly why he is walking across the room toward the cloaked stranger, but the Kindred's powerful aura will completely entrance the subject.

          Vampires have been known to Summon a person from halfway around the world; indeed, the subject will use the fastest and most direct means of travel to reach his master's side. Such is indeed possible, but in order to Summon a person who is out of sight, you must have previously met the person. A person who is Summoned knows exactly where to find you and will home in on that location flawlessly. If you Summon someone from New York to Chicago but subsequently depart for Seattle, the subject will arrange for travel to Seattle as well.

          The exact time it takes for a subject to fulfil the Summons can vary, but the subject will always use the fastest available method of travel. Concerns like money limit the response time, but if the subject happens to be short of cash and can't afford a plane ticket, he will even hitchhike. The Summons must be repeated each day if it takes more than one day for the subject to reach the Summoner.

           System:You must spend blood accordingly, as this is just a summons no will power check is needed, as one the target ahs reached the Summoner, they can do as they please. The effects of the Power Last until sunset the next day, however to keep the effects active you need to use this power every sunset.

Majesty

          You are almost universally respected and feared. Unless mortals or even Kindred stop to consider their feelings about you, they are likely to treat you respectfully without conscious thought. Indeed, the very sight of you causes jaws to drop in awe and even the most courageous to fear you. You simply seem so formidable that no one would even consider crossing you, let alone making a physical challenge. You will not be attacked or harmed in any way for as long as the effects of Majesty remain un-resisted.

           System:May be used at anytime at the cost of 2 points of blood for every 1 minute required. This can be resisted by anybody who has a higher willpower than twice yours. However should your concentration be broke, or you do something against the vampires you are using the ability on the Majesty is broken and cannot be reused for the rest of the night on this group.

Presence Extended

Aire of Elation: Level Six (Toreador)

          Characters skilled in Presence and comedy can actually combine the two for new results. The effect is similar to Majesty, but instead of making the Toreador feared and respected, it makes her hilariously funny. At any time when the character is speaking, she can make the audience perceive what he says as an incredibly funny joke. Listeners can hurt themselves from laughing too much. This power is more effective than Majesty. It makes the character less threatening and more friendly and harmless.

           System:This power can temporarily Incapacitate a target. This lasts for 5 mins

Capture Reality: Level Six (Toreador)

          Some Toreador filmmakers and photographers pour an amazing amount of reality into their work. Clever Toreador create films or photographs conveying various sorts of subconscious messages. This is easier to do in a film the message will be clearer and more detailed than in a photograph. However, a series of photographs bearing the same message will convey the message just as clearly as a film.

           System:The character must succeed in a Intelligence + Art check Plus Blood spent.

	<4	Viewers feel there is something unusual 
		about the photograph or film.
	5-7	Viewers feel as if they know exactly 
		what the people in the photograph or 
		film are feeling.
	8-9	Viewers feel as if they are in the 
		photograph or film, witnessing the events 
		firsthand.
	10-12	Viewers believe they are smelling, hearing 
		and seeing things in the photograph or 
		film. They might also form a strong 
		sympathetic bond to a particular character 
		in the work or to the work itself.
	13+	Same as above, but the viewer will also 
		have flashbacks from the photograph or 
		film that go beyond the scope of the work 
		itself. If possible, she will begin having 
		regular dreams concerning the work's 
		setting or the characters in it.



Intensification: Level Six (Toreador)

          Certain Toreador, including artists, sculptors, filmmakers, photographers, writers and composers (i.e., Artistes who create works instead of performing them) can put a part of their Presence in their work. The viewer of the work will feel particularly intense emotion towards it. The object must carry at least some obvious symbolism for the emotion conveyed in the work. With this power, a Toreador can produce a magical item of sorts, such as a photograph which makes the viewers feel sad, a goofy-looking wooden figure which causes those viewing it to laugh, and so on.

          Twenty Blood Points must be spent to make one of these objects, although no more than five may be spent in one night. Anyone who views the object can resist it by having a higher willpower than the Toreador who created it. Only one emotional response may be conferred per object. The effects on the object are permanent. System:

Siren's Song: Level Six (Toreador)

          This power allows a Toreador musician to reach a state of awareness using one particular type of musical instrument. She will feel as though it is an extension of her own body and soul. It also lets Toreador singers produce similar effects. In this way, the character can create some of the most beautiful music the world has ever heard. The character can influence the emotions of all listeners. The effect is based on the type of music created. Additionally, the audience will be drawn to the music and unable to take any action to either harm the music-maker or run away.

          Emotions instilled by the music may vary, but despite the emotion created, the Toreador will not have any direct control over the listeners' actions. While the music and lyrics can direct the audience to perform particular actions, the listeners will not all interpret the music in the same way.

           System:The character automatically receives a bonus of three to his Music or Singing Skill and can make music that has startling results. When this power is used, anyone within listening distance will be hit with effects similar to Awe unless a point of Blood is spent. The effects of this power vary. In certain cases, such as trying to induce bravery, the music might just add one or more points to half the listeners' Courage checks while making the other half Frenzy. The exact effects are left up to the Referee. Effects of this power last as long as the music is continuously played, up to a maximum of one hour.

Star Magnetism: Level Six (Toreador)

          This power allows the character's Presence to carry over onto film, video tape, photographs or any other sort of visual recording. It even carries over to paintings if the portrait is an accurate representation. It may be consciously turned off, but it will otherwise snap into effect whenever a camera is turned towards the Kindred.

           System:The representation resembles Awe, and the effects are permanent. Anyone who sees the image will be affected unless he spends a Blood point every turn he sees it. Mortal s cannot help themselves.

Two-Tiered Communication: Level Six (Toreador)

          The Toreador can speak to someone in such a way that everything she says has a hidden meaning to it. The Toreador may talk about one thing and actually tell the listener some thing else, even if it is in radical opposition to the surface message. While the listener only hears the normal conversation, he will subconsciously understand the underlying message.

          A Toreador using this power might tell a person her art work is incredibly beautiful, while on the subconscious level be telling her that he would not even use it to start a fire. A Toreador might openly profess her love for someone while she's really telling him to jump off the nearest building. If the character spends more than one Blood Point per turn, this power may be used in conjunction with Domination.

           System:This power lasts one minute per Blood point spent.
